Let's Hear It For The Boy
SHIBUI Collective
Let's Hear It for the Boy explores male vulnerability and societal expectations of masculinity. The piece, developed by choreographer Emi Miyoshi and the SHIBUI collective, uses breath, voice and touch to explore fragility as a form of strength. In an intimate, immersive environment, the performance invites the audience to engage deeply with themes of fear, shame, care, trust and emotional expression. Inspired by Bob Dylan's moment of hesitation during the recording of We Are the World, the work challenges traditional gender roles and redefines vulnerability as a powerful act of transformation.
