Eins:zu:Eins Mentorship Program

For choreographers living in Freiburg

June to November 2025

Tanznetz Freiburg is offering an individual mentorship program from June to November 2025. The support will be awarded to two choreographers and is worth 20 mentoring hours each (€1,000 in total).

The choreographers themselves choose a mentor and define their needs. Applicants are asked to describe their current career status and where they need support and mentoring, as well as to draft a work plan for the mentoring.

Who: Two choreographers living in Freiburg with a professional

professional experience of at least 2 years

What: Monetary value of €1,000 per choreographer to be used for the mentor. The contract is concluded directly between Tanznetz Freiburg and the mentor.

This corresponds to 20 hours at €50 each.

Travel expenses for mentors and mentees incurred in the course of mentoring can be covered by Tanznetz to a reasonable extent by prior arrangement, up to €400 per mentorship.

When: For the selected choreographers, the mentoring period must be between 01.06. and 30.11.2025.

  • The closing date for applications is 25.04.2025 at 6 pm
  • The results will be announced by 12.05.2025.
  • Following the mentorships, the two mentees will share their experiences with the scene at a public event.

*** A public Zoom meeting with the two mentees from last year, Miriam Cheema and Belinda Winkelmann, will take place on 26.03.25 at 3 pm. They will share their experiences from the mentoring program and are open for your questions! Please register at: info@tanznetz-freiburg.de ***

It is necessary that the mentor is named in the application. If you need assistance with the search, please write to us before the deadline with a description of the type of mentor you are looking for and we will try to help with the search.

3. describe where you are in your career (approx. 250 characters including spaces)

4. 1-2 video links of your current work

5. describe for which part of your dance creation or career development you would like support from an expert and/or you need mentoring (approx. 600 characters incl. spaces)

6. name your mentor and describe why he/she is the right person for the mentorship

7. draw up a plan of how you envisage the mentoring process, including a rough timetable (approx. 400 characters including spaces).
