Silke Pfaff

Silke is a dancer, instant composer, teacher of languages and prospective teacher of drama.
From her teenage years on she tried out very different styles of dance from ballet to hip hop - just to finally arrive in contemporary dance. She got her training at the School for Dance, Improvisation and Performance (TIP) in Freiburg 2009-2011, followed by numerous workshops with improvisation artists like Julyen Hamilton, Rosalind Crisp, Andrew Morrish and Sten Rudstrom.
In 2015 she started to go on stage, mostly solo, to create pieces out of the completely unknown - instant composition is her passion. For this, she uses every means of expression the body has - from movement to dance to voice to language.
For her, performing is about being fully present, authentic but not private, artistic but not artificial, open but not random - an artist in a human body that can touch other humans.
