Andrea Lagos Neumann
Andrea is a dance and theater artist. In 2005, she got a BA in Acting from PUC University-Chile and subsequently worked there as an assistant professor at the School of Dramatic Arts. In 2017, she compleated a dance training at the T.I.P. School in Freiburg. Currently she is based in the city and works here as a freelance choreographer, theater director, dancer and performer.
Moreover, she collaborates closely with Tanznetzt Freiburg. Since 2018, she assumes the role of co-organizer and curator for the Tanzwuchs format.
For Andrea, dance, theater, improvisation, and site-specific provide realms to explore dreams and fantasies. Her artistic pursuits engage deeply with questions of social contingency, encompassing identity, memory, gender-based violence, and women's rights. She addresses these themes with a testimonial and autobiographical perspective.
