Sound & Colour Production / Stephanie Scheubeck

Stephanie Scheubeck (dancer, choreographer, video artist, researcher) is artistic director and founder of Sound & Colour Production, a platform for artistic research into the relationship between the neurodiverse phenomenon of synesthesia, dance and embodiment. Her digital performances, audiovisual installations and award-winning screen dance films have been presented internationally. Stephanie creates immersive atmospheres that provide a sensory-haptic experience for the audience. Her aim is to promote synesthesia as an example of diversity in society and to raise awareness on neurodivergence. Scheubeck's works are strongly influenced by her own synesthetic experiences. She published her research in the Journal of Dance and Somatic Practices (Intellect Verlag) and holds scholarships from BKM/Neustart Kultur, MWK Baden-Württemberg and Goethe Institute Ireland, a.o.
