Michael Langeneckert works as a freelance choreographer, teacher and dancer and lives in Freiburg. He creates dance projects in Freiburg and works internationally as a guest choreographer for companies and universities. He teaches contemporary dance at leading universities in Europe such as Codarts Rotterdam and is a guest professor at the Folkwang University in Essen. He is a guest teacher at renowned dance companies such as Aterballetto Reggio Emilia/IT, Skanes Dance Theater/SE, tanz mainz/Staatstheater Mainz and many more.

Michael Langeneckert sees the moving body as an opportunity to create abstract, physical and performative relationships between the dancers and thus also to the audience, who tell a story in fragments from the abstraction. With every work, the balance between abstraction and narrative must be redefined.
