Tanzschaffende Freiburg

Around 80 professional dance artists live and work in Freiburg; they work in independent ensembles, as individual artists or in changing constellations for dance productions. These includes choreographers, dancers, dramaturges, production managers, cultural journalists, technicians, costume and stage designers, dance mediators, dance teachers and composers.

The independent dance scene is and remains flexible and many dance artists repeatedly collaborate on interdisciplinary projects with artists from other fields such as music, theatre, literature and the visual arts or from completely different social areas, such as science.
