Paul Norman

Paul Norman is a British performance artist and composer who lives and works in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Paul understands art as a part of everyday life and his works most often spring from everyday experiences where “other” ways of looking at the same old thing are offered or encouraged. Paul’s work rarely presents something complete, it is rather through engaging with the work and becoming aware of themselves that audience members can become performers, co-creating a complete work. Paul hardly ever makes art alone, but instead loves being part of Tedious Work (collaboration with Leander Ripchinsky) and Difficult Listening (collaboration with Michael Wolters). Paul has a PhD from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, U.K.
