Cia Nadine Gerspacher

Cia. Nadine Gerspacher is an independent artistic project in Freiburg, focuses on original works and collaborations with artists and institutions, mainly in Germany, Spain and France. Regularly co-produced by E-Werk and funded by the Kulturamt Freiburg since 2018. It received 3-year funding for '23-'26 from Kulturstiftung des Bundes of Tanzland. In 20 years of international experience, Nadine choreographed for Cirque du Soleil ('15), won the Isadora Prize ('16) for her contributions to contemporary dance and co-directs FREEBODIES and FREE ROOTS, guiding young dancers. Since 2021, she has been the co-artistic director of NEXO with Tina Halford, promoting performing arts in Freiburg and nearby areas. Gerspacher's dance theatre, inspired by everyday life, features eccentric characters, combining the poetic physicality with humor and vulnerability, in a quirky and surprising experience.
